Character That
Fans Can't Get
Enough Of

It’s hard not to fall in love with the main protagonist of “The Witcher,” Geralt, but there are also many supporting characters that fans appreciate just as much. Characters like Yennifer, Triss Merigold, and Ciri were compelling, but fans loved another character for wholly different reasons than, say, Triss and Ciri’s goodness and morality.
Fans adored Queen Calanthe, Lioness of Cintra and Ciri’s grandmother, and in a list of characters from “The Witcher” ranked based on fierceness, Calanthe came in first place. Known for her loyalty to family at any cost, Calanthe had amazing battle skills, an aggressive attitude, and a relentless drive that seemed to enable her to accomplish anything she attempted.
A Reddit user, u/westgot, expressed their love for Calanthe and argued that not only was the character well written, but actress Jodhi May did a wonderful job portraying her. Another user, u/IAmTheHerald, wrote, “Jodhi May is a scene-stealer and I'm completely fine with that.” Calanthe certainly stood up to anyone and didn’t back down from bullying or intimidation.
