"The Golden Girls" has achieved cult status in syndication, with viewers continuing to love the foursome and their unique personalities. While living in their Miami abode, the four main characters met their fair share of off-putting outsiders, but there’s one "Golden Girls" villain who stands out as the most despised.
Of the number of creeps and unsavory characters on "The Golden Girls," one fan narrowed the field down to five contenders in a Reddit poll, and the number one spot went to Jeremy, the fiancé of Blanche's daughter, Rebecca. Jeremy spends the entire episode cruelly berating Rebecca and making fatphobic comments, only to get a taste of his own medicine from Dorothy.
Redditor u/Dionysus232 put it simply, stating, "Jeremy was just awful," and he beat out other "Golden Girls" villains, like the antisemitic Barbara Thorndyke and the abusive Rex Huntington. The show had a lot of villains and awful people, but ultimately, the presence of these characters only bolstered the friendships of the four main women, who often came to each other's aid.
