Kevin James and Leah Remini played Doug and Carrie Heffernan on the sitcom “The King of Queens.” It was evident they had chemistry, but like all married couples, they had a fair share of fights, and in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Remini got real about how uncomfortable things got when filming some scenes.
Leah Remini revealed in the interview, “We fought, like many married couples who were together every day for years.” She also said, “There were times Kevin and I would argue about something stupid, and we had to kiss, but we'd make no eye contact.”
Despite their petty arguments, she is still very fond of James, and the feelings are mutual, with James saying he felt an “instant connection” with his co-star from the moment they met. The pair works so well together that the TV couple reunited in 2018 for James’ follow-up series “Kevin Can Wait.”
