Impractical Jokers

Following the tradition of past prank shows, “Impractical Jokers” has occasionally taken things too far — for example, when Joe Gatto stole baseballs from children or when Brian Quinn was nearly stripped naked in the middle of a shopping mall. Nevertheless, there have been some volatile incidents where the jokers had to face some uncomfortable repercussions of their pranks.
Sal Vulcano recalled one such incident where he cut to the front of a long line at a discount Broadway ticket booth in Times Square and ended up being confronted by a disgruntled war veteran. According to Vulcano, “The guy just lost it [...] he grabbed me and strangled me.”
Although the scenario was part of an "Impractical Jokers" bit, complete with Sal lying and telling security he was with the man, the veteran refused to take part in the jokes and maintained his anger. Despite this, Vulcano recounted the confrontation with a sense of humor, which speaks to the trio’s ability to maintain self-reflective humor even in such dire situations.
