TV-MOVIES
It's always interesting to learn the favorite films of noteworthy directors and actors. For someone like Nicolas Cage, who makes it hard to imagine him sitting still long enough to watch an entire movie, the question is an especially fascinating one.
During a recent Reddit AMA, Cage revealed that "Apocalypse Now” and “Spirited Away" are movies he can watch over and over again. The first striking thing about these films is how different they are from one another as "Apocalypse Now" is a gritty, psychedelic war drama, and "Spirited Away" is a fanciful animated fantasy.
"Apocalypse Now" was, of course, directed by the great Francis Ford Coppola who is Cage’s uncle. Whether that influences his love for the movie or not remains a mystery, but in any case, it's fun to imagine Cage inside his home screening room watching these two disparate movies on a loop.
