TV-MOVIES
"Starship Troopers" was an initially unsuccessful science fiction movie that has evolved into a cult classic. However, not everything about "Starship Troopers" has gotten better with time, and there is one scene that, if it were to be released today, may even elicit a few laughs from the audience.
The CGI used to bring the alien arachnids to life is pretty solid, and they look just as threatening as they did upon the film's release. That stops being the case, however, when the tanker bug enters the fray and sprays a fiery substance, which looks like Nickelodeon slime.
The same can be said for the tanker bug's Fanta-orange colored blood, which looks hilariously fake. The CGI for the tanker bug is a small part of "Starship Troopers" as a whole, and the movie itself still works as long as the viewer can suspend disbelief for a little while.
