The Real Reason It Takes Euphoria So Long To Film

By E.J.

The official "Euphoria" Twitter account announced the show was greenlit for another season but there is speculation that it might take a while for Season 3 to hit the small screen. Fans had to wait close to three years to see Season 2, so why does it take so long to film “Euphoria?”

In an interview with IMDb, Kat actress Barbie Ferreira explained that scenes in the show are extremely thought out and it can take over eight hours to film a simple scene. "Euphoria" is well known for its beautiful and artistic imagery, so it's not surprising that it takes time to craft these scenes.

Furthermore, the second season of "Euphoria" was shot with 35mm format film which is harder than shooting digitally. Lastly, with Zendaya as the show's lead actress, scheduling may have been a factor in the amount of time it took to get Season 2 to the screen.
