Dragon Season 2

Fans of "Game of Thrones" have certain expectations for “House of the Dragon,” naturally hoping the two shows share some similarities. However, the new spin-off series starts out 172 years before the events of “Game of Thrones” and uses various narrative techniques to tell a story connected to the original series, as well as fill in some of its predecessor’s gaps.
To cover more backstory, one favored storytelling technique in Season 1 of “House of the Dragon” is time jumps, some of which are so big that different actors are needed to portray older versions of the characters. For instance, the teenage Rhaenyra Targaryen is first played by Milly Alcock, but by Episode 6, the adult Rhaenyra is replaced by Emma D'Arcy.
In an interview with Variety, "House of the Dragon" showrunner Ryan Condal said that viewers should not expect any major time jumps in Season 2. He added that following Season 1, "the storytelling becomes fairly in the rhythms of the original 'Game of Thrones' series." So fans can expect a more relaxed narrative pacing and consistent representation of the characters.
