In "Top Gun: Maverick," the title character (Tom Cruise) is training graduates for a dangerous mission, including his best friend’s son, Lieutenant Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw (Miles Teller). Like its predecessor, the sequel features scenes that will become iconic, including one that even Teller was surprised to see when the film came out.
There's a specific dance move that Teller's Rooster does during "dogfight football" that has a page on TikTok with over three million views. Teller explained the dance saying, "That's really a dance that me and my buddies have done [...] When everybody's dancing very seriously, it was just always something we would do to just break the ice a little bit."
The actor then claimed that even though he didn't know that he was being filmed at that moment, it was "a nice surprise" when he saw the film's final cut. Teller has also discussed the challenging diet, exercise, and trade secrets of dehydration that went into preparing for the beach montage scene in general.
