The Fez Fan Theory That Changes Everything On That '70s Show

By VICTORIA MILLER

Fans of “That ‘70s Show” loved the antics of Eric and Kelso, but one of the most interesting and confusing characters was Fez, a foreign exchange student played by Wilmer Valderrama. Fez never had a real identity on the show, which allowed this interesting fan theory to make the rounds online.

Fez may actually be a figment of everyone's imagination, according to theory-crafter William O'Connor. As fans know, the Point Place kids have a habit of smoking marijuana while hanging in the Forman basement. It's possible, then, that Fez is simply an illusion in the gang's discussion circle.

Fan theories can be fascinating, but sometimes it's best to go straight to the source, and Valderrama does have a theory about Fez. The actor came to the conclusion that Fez's real name is a combination of the first names of the other main characters, which only leaves us more confused.
