The Channel 4 sitcom “Derry Girls” has endeared fans to its unique approach to slice-of-life comedy and its memorable characters. Even though it was announced last September that Season 3 will be its last, fans of the show were still losing it over the release of its trailer.

The trailer opens with a news report that the Troubles are near the end, followed by typical “Derry Girls” hijinks, and naturally ending with The Cranberries’ "Dreams." Unsurprisingly, this was met with an overwhelmingly positive response by the show’s fans.

One Youtube responder said that she was waiting “forever” for the trailer, adding that the “series is iconic.” Twitter comments were positive but bittersweet, as one fan said that they were so happy the show was coming back but heartbroken it will be for the last time.
