THIS STORY CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE "NATURO" FRANCHISE.

SPOILER WARNING!

"Naruto" opens with mischievous Naruto Uzumaki, a goofy troublemaker, friendless, and pathetically unskilled. In these episodes get to see him become a shinobi, team up with Sakura and Sasuke, destroy all expectations in the Chunin Exams and learn the Rasengan, one of his most powerful moves.
Episodes 1-101

Since Team Seven is still together in the first "Naruto" movie, "Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow," it must take place before Sasuke leaves in Episode 108. The film features killer snow-strewn battles, unveils some of Kakashi's best jutsu, and culminates in Naruto's multi-colored Rasengan.

First Naruto Movie
This run of "Naruto" episodes contains one of the most compelling arcs in the series: bringing Sasuke back to the village. In the "Naruto" manga, this arc is what ends young Naruto's story, and most of what follows in the anime is considered filler.
Episodes 102-160
While there are no signposts in the filler episodes that might help identify where “Legend Of The Stone Of Gelel” film fits after Sasuke's departure, there are some fan theories as to their order. One holds that this one takes place after Episode 147, while others list it as occurring after Episode 160.
Second Naruto Movie

This stretch of "Naruto" contains more filler episodes with no developments vital to the central story. Some viewers suggest powering through the series by skipping Episodes 143 through 219, although they showcase the characters' deepening bonds and growing skills.

Episodes 161-196
