"Attack on Titan" has somewhat of a cult following, and like any project that is dubbed into multiple languages, the show has tons of small production details unique to its original Japanese version, its English dub, and more. Once voice actor for the English dub has a funny habit that will surprise fans.
Three voice actors for “Attack on Titan” sat down with Rolling Stone for an interview and Trina Nishimura, who voices Mikasa, egged Jean voice actor Mike McFarland into revealing something about Rob McCollum, who voices Reiner. McCollum apparently likes to scream his own name when he transforms into a titan.
McFarland explained, "There’s enough effects on the voice where by the time it hits mix; it’s just *roar* [...] the word ‘Rob’ is close enough to the word 'Roar.'" Even if you try to listen for McCollum yelling "Rob!" in the show, you probably won't be able to tell — but at least you know one of the English dub's secrets.
