"Lilo and Stitch" is a heartfelt film centered around the unlikely friendship between a lonely girl, Lilo, and an alien from another planet, Stitch. Lilo lived alone with her older sister Nani, whose tumultuous relationship with her younger sister after the death of their parents, plays a pivotal role in the development of Lilo and Stitch's tight-knit relationship.
Gorgeous, Hawaiian-born actress Tia Carrere, whose acting work consists of a mix of both traditional and voice-acting roles, voiced Nani. While Carrere's breakout was as Cassandra Wong in 1992's "Wayne's World,” she is also known for her TV role as Jade Soong in the 1980s on "General Hospital" and Lady Danger in Netflix's "AJ and the Queen."
Carrere has also lent her voice to "Johnny Bravo," "Scooby-Doo!," and "Family Guy." While she has had a successful career, the actress initially faced some serious hardships. "There were network TV shows where I gave great reads, and the casting director would say, 'That was really great, but we weren't thinking of going ethnic with that role,'" Carrere said.
