The much-anticipated fourth season of "Stranger Things" is just days away, but some details have already been spoiled thanks to a bizarre leak that has even The Duffer Brothers surprised and disgusted. While spoilers are common for TV and movies, the recent "Stranger Things" leak is anything but ordinary.
First leaked on Reddit, the "Stranger Things" spoilers came as part of an official Monopoly game tied into the upcoming fourth season. Sources close to the series told THR that the game must have flown under the radar as part of the show's massive merchandise campaign.
It appears creators Matt and Ross Duffer were never consulted and had a "total meltdown" after hearing about the leaks. One Redditor jokes, “I have faith that this season will be good, but as far as twists go, it's gonna be hard to top 'Monopoly board recaps ST4 before it's even out.'"
