Season 3 of Paramount+'s “Star Trek: Picard” was also the series' last. However, Picard actor Patrick Stewart told Indiewire that he’d return under the right circumstances.

“I think we could do a movie, a 'Picard '-based movie,” Stewart said, adding, “And that would be, I think, a very appropriate way to say, 'And goodbye folks.”

Stewart emphasized the movie should be “[N]ot necessarily at all about Picard but about all of us,” while taking the best elements from the third season.

While the fate of “Picard” is still unknown, executive producer Alex Kurtzman told Variety in January 2023 that the show's creatives purposely left the door open for one.
