Asked To Quit Rick

Spencer Grammer (daughter of legendary "Frasier" actor Kelsey Grammer) has had roles in numerous film and TV projects, but she's best-known as the voice of Summer Smith in "Rick and Morty." Surprisingly, Grammer has been asked to quit “Rick and Morty” in order to join a different project before — and she had the most in-character response.
Grammer retold the story in an interview: "I had been in a situation where I had done another show and they were like, 'Sorry, you're gonna have to leave [Rick and Morty],' and I was like, go f*** yourselves, this is the only thing I like [...] I don't even care if I don't make money on this show. This show brings me joy every time I read a script."
Grammer also added that she would rather get a job in an office than say goodbye to "Rick and Morty." Perhaps the greatest part of the actor's blunt response is the way that it mirrors Summer's own straightforward attitude, though perhaps Summer would have thrown in a few more expletives here and there.
