If you know why Obi-Wan is on Tatooine, you might've expected this detail, but it's nonetheless cool to catch a glimpse of his Jedi binoculars settling on what appears to be a young Luke Skywalker pretending to pod-race. Luke is likely 10 years old in this series, and it will be interesting to see how Obi-Wan manages his observations and protection of Luke while remaining out of sight.
In the new teaser trailer, one of the first things that "Star Wars" fans will likely notice is the ominous and famous music. This, of course, is "Duel of the Fates," the John Williams masterpiece from "The Phantom Menace."
It seems like the "Obi-Wan Kenobi" series is gunning for more than your everyday tie-ins to the films, because the new trailer shows off several of the infamous Inquisitors from “Star Wars Rebels.” The Inquisitors are a group of force-sensitives enlisted by the Empire to hunt down the remaining Jedi.
At one point, Obi-Wan is shown riding something that looks like a camel but is actually a four-legged herbivore known as an "eopie." Eopie’s adaptation to the harsh environment makes them useful for carrying luggage or people across the desert, just like the camels in our world.
During the trailer, fans were greeted by the return appearance of actor Joel Edgerton in the role of Uncle Owen. Edgerton appeared as a younger version of the character in "Attack of the Clones" and "Revenge of the Sith," and fans are excited to see him take on a more substantial role.
At one point in the trailer, an unknown hand touches what appears to be a symbol of a lightsaber with elaborate wings on either side. It very well could be the official Jedi Order crest, but since the moment was so brief, we can only speculate for now and wait patiently for the reveal.
While Darth Vader does not physically appear in the "Obi-Wan Kenobi" limited series teaser trailer, his presence looms large. Fans who listen carefully can hear Vader's iconic breathing at the very end of the teaser trailer.
