Secret Invasion: Emilia Clarke Responds To Backlash With Perfect Comeback

Emilia Clarke has had a less-than-stellar track record with fan-favorite franchises. Her most recent credit has been her contribution as G’iah in Marvel's “Secret Invasion.”
In the last episode, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) takes a backseat to G’iah, who battles Skrull Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir). Fans shared their disappointment, and Clarke responded.
During press for the series, she explained that even if disappointing choices are made, complaining doesn’t help much, “We’ve already done it, so there’s not much I can do.”
The show is adapted from one of the most beloved arcs in Marvel comics, but fans were left disappointed by the lackluster ending of the limited series.
The story should have revolved around Nick Fury sacrificing his moral ethics for the greater good. Instead, G’iah takes revenge for her fathers death and it becomes predictable.
