According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Sherlock Holmes" star Robert Downey, Jr. will be executive producing two scripted television projects for HBO Max. These projects are considered in very early development, so nothing is exactly concrete as of now.
It is unclear, at this time, if either of these shows would actually feature Downey Jr. or Jude Law reprising their original roles. Plot details and story elements are also unknown at this time.
It's exciting for fans to finally see some forward momentum regarding the franchise and the fact that Downey Jr. and his production company are behind the shows is promising news. Given how often the third "Sherlock Holmes" film has been delayed, however, fans might want to temper their expectations.
