THIS STORY CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR "Morbius."
There were numerous questions in the lead-up to the release of Sony’s “Morbius,” and director Daniel Espinosa sat down with Uproxx to address them. Even though he attempted to clear any confusion about the post-credits scenes, fans might still be scratching their heads by the end of his explanation.
The first post-credits scene in Morbius establishes how Vulture wound up in a separate universe from the one he was introduced to. The second scene depicts a conversation between Vulture and Morbius, which has hugely sinister connotations for the franchise's future, but things don’t exactly add up.
Morbius is established as a fundamentally good person who does bad things and has no reason to hate Spider-Man, so why would he be interested in what Vulture has to say? Even though Espinosa said that Vulture isn’t perceived as a villain by Morbius, it still doesn’t explain why he would care about Spider-Man.
