Jeff Bezos' Son
Had A Very
Serious Warning
For Him About The
Rings Of Power
By SHANE O'NEILL
Long before names like Aragorn and Frodo Baggins defeated the forces of darkness, there was the Second Age of Middle-earth, an era of tension, turmoil, and fear; a period that is one of the most fascinating in J.R.R. Tolkien's literary canon, yet all too often, is overlooked. Thankfully, that's about to change via "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power."
Accustomed to leading change, Jeff Bezos and his team at Amazon Studios took on the serious responsibility of creating Tolkien’s vision of the Second Age of Middle Earth. Fans who got a sneak peek before the streaming premiere, report it perfectly captures the essence of Middle-earth, which is half the battle when it comes to adapting Tolkien's writings.
At the United Kingdom premiere of "The Rings of Power," Bezos spoke about what Tolkien’s universe means to him and his children. "After Amazon got involved in this project, my son came up to me one day, looked me in the eyes, very sincerely, and he said: 'Dad, please don't eff this up,'" according to Variety. The inaugural season begins September 2, 2022, on Prime Video.
