Influential TV Host Jerry Springer Dead At 79

Jerry Springer, the famous talk show host and mastermind behind "The Jerry Springer Show," has died at the age of 79, TMZ has confirmed.
According to the report, the veteran television personality was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago, but his condition worsened earlier this week.
Springer leaves behind an impressive legacy with a long career that saw him take on various roles, ranging from political pursuits to movie roles.
Prior to becoming one of the most recognizable faces on television, Jerry Springer was a politician who became the mayor of Cincinnati in 1977.
In the 1990s, “The Jerry Springer Show” rose to prominence, and even though it attracted a lot of controversy due to the topics it covered, it made Springer a household name.
He also appeared in movies like “Ringmasters,” and “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me,” as well as guest roles in TV shows like “Roseanne,” “The Simpsons,” and The X-Files.
