Since the CBS series "How I Met Your Mother" drew a lot of fans over the course of its nine-season run, the show's success spawned a spinoff series on Hulu, titled "How I Met Your Father." It is co-created by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, who previously worked together on "This Is Us" and also co-created "Love, Victor."
"How I Met Your Father" has been confirmed for Season 2 and will have double the number of episodes in contrast to Season 1, which had 10 episodes. It is likely that the second season will premiere on Hulu around the same time — January 2023 — as the first, which made its debut in January 2022. Many of the main cast members are also expected to return in Season 2.
Both Hilary Duff and Kim Cattrall will return as Sophie — with Cattrall narrating to her son that she met his father on a night of adventures — along with cast members Chris Lowell, Francia Raisa, Suraj Sharma, Tom Ainsley, and Tien Tran. While Josh Peck and Ashley Reyes might not be a part of the second season, Daniel Augustin who plays Ian is likely to make an appearance.
