Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz worked together on Fox’s forensic procedural "Bones" for the entirety of its 12 season run. In a recent interview, Deschanel spoke about what the experience of co-starring on a show with Boreanaz was like.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Deschanel pointed out that she and Boreanaz had a good relationship right from the start, and they agreed that any stress between them would not cause any lasting damage. Even though Boreanaz had previously been the lead of the show “Angel,” Deschanel says he never used his experience to belittle her or try to take control of the set.
"It's a lot to be the lead of a television show. It's a lot of responsibility and it's an honor, but you do have to set a tone for a set," Deschanel said, adding that it meant she was usually stressed out while doing the show. However, Boreanaz had a unique way of letting her know if she was being unpleasant — if someone on set brought her a Diet Coke, she knew she should tone it down.
