Know So Far

HBO Max's "Velma,” will mark the first time the “Scooby-Doo” character Velma will have the sole lead in a story. The buzz surrounding the show continues to build and here's what we know, so far, about the show, the cast, the release date, and where you can catch up on previous offerings from the “Scooby-Doo” universe.
HBO Max has announced that “Velma” will be released in 2023, but an official date has not been set. Produced by Mindy Kaling, of "The Office" fame, the 10-episode first season will also see Kaling voicing the titular Velma.
Rounding out the rest of the Scooby-Doo gang will be "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" star Glenn Howerton as Fred,"Ted Lasso’s" Sam Richardson as Shaggy and "Fresh Off The Boat" star Constance as Daphne. Other stars confirmed to be lending their voice to the series include Melissa Fumero, Nicole Byer, Gary Cole, Kulap Vilaysack, Ming-Na Wen, Sarayu Blue, Debby Ryan, Fortune Feimster, Yvonne Orji, Stephen Root, and Weird Al Yankovic.
If you would like some "Scooby-Doo" content while you wait for Velma to premiere, all of the live action films, the cartoon series "Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated," 2018 crossover "Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold," can currently be found on HBO Max. And the 2018 live-action film "Daphne & Velma," is currently available via Hoopla.
