Greta Gerwig's Barbie Movie Keeps Landing Massive Stars

By NIKKI MUNOZ
Greta Gerwig, the writer-director of "Lady Bird," was revealed as the director of the live-action "Barbie" film in July 2019. The same source said that Margot Robbie would play Barbie, and Ryan Gosling would play Ken, Barbie's equally renowned love interest.
Will Ferrell is the most recent addition to the cast of "Barbie." While Ferrell's character's name is unknown, ‌we ‌know he is portraying the CEO of a toy company, which could be Mattel (the toy company behind Barbie), but this has not been verified.
Ferrell joins Kate McKinnon, America Ferrera, and Simu Liu, as well as Emma Mackey ("Sex Education"), Alexandra Shipp ("tick, tick... BOOM!"), and Ariana Greenblatt ("Stuck in the Middle"). While each of these actors has been confirmed as a member of the "Barbie" ensemble, it is yet unknown what roles they will portray.
