Seinfeld Episode
Is One Of The
Most Relatable
By DAMON RIVERA
During the show's network run, many noteworthy episodes of “Seinfeld” were released that are revered as the best of the best, like "The Soup Nazi" or "The Comeback." However, in addition to the wacky hijinks, the show thrived at putting its characters into realistic and relatable situations, like in one acclaimed Season 3 episode.
Whether it's Elaine yelling out "Stella!" or any of the jokes revolving around the titular writing utensil, fans love the episode "The Pen,” which sees Jerry and Elaine staying with Jerry’s parents. In a thread on the r/Seinfeld subreddit, u/JammyJacketPotato stated how much they love it, even quoting Elaine: "Mrs. Seinfeld, I'm begging you.....put the air conditioning on!"
Given the comments the post received, it is safe to say plenty of fans have been in similar situations, and u/MoreBlu put it best, writing, "Growing up with extremely cheap parents, this is so relatable." Like most from the series, this episode finds a side-splitting way to illustrate a very real struggle, so it’s no wonder that "The Pen" is so relatable.
