Fans Question How Laurie's Character Will Play Out In That '90s Show
By CAITLIN STEPHENS
“That ‘70s Show” ended in 2006, so fans are definitely excited to see the upcoming Netflix spinoff series, “That ‘90s Show.” However, it's not easy for creators to pick up where the popular series left off, and sadly, some actors from “That ‘70s Show” have passed away, like the beloved actress who played Laurie.
Lisa Robin Kelly played Laurie Forman on “That ‘70s Show” and passed away in 2013, so fans are curious about how the upcoming spinoff will address Laurie’s absence. Some Reddit users talked about potential suggestions, and one user pointed out that the creators could hire the actress Christina Moore, who played Laurie on Season 6 of “That ‘70s Show.”
User u/MrsShawnHunter suggested that Laurie could have moved to Paris to realize her dream of becoming a hairstylist, similar to how the creators dealt with Laurie's absence in Season 3. The user also added that the creators could simply say Laurie’s character died, but fans would rather see Laurie’s character continued than ignored.
