Each of the Hargreeves siblings of “The Umbrella Academy” have experienced highs and lows, and these scenarios form the backbone of the show’s interpersonal relationships — but the real draw of the series is the near-constant threat of apocalypses. Season 3 ended with a cliffhanger as the characters found themselves in a new reality without their powers.
Fans of the series have received some bittersweet news as the official Twitter account for “The Umbrella Academy” announced the show’s fourth and final season. Considering how Season 3 ended, Season 4 will have a lot to accomplish with the now powerless Hargreeves exploring the new world and possibly facing some type of apocalypse.
Showrunner Steve Blackman said, “The siblings losing their powers isn’t going to be the only oddity in this timeline. There are new enemies who want to see them wiped out of existence, but how do they manage without their powers?” Regardless, the show’s fans can rest easy knowing they will get to see another season that looks to shift the family dynamic.
