Dune 2's Biggest Change From The First Movie
By JARON PAK
"Dune: Part Two" is set to release on March 1, 2024, and director Denis Villeneuve revealed to Total Film the one major difference between "Dune" and its sequel.
In his own words, "it's more of an action film than the first part. It's more muscular," as it picks up halfway through the first of Frank Herbert's books.
The second half of the story completes what was, to all intents and purposes, an unresolved cliffhanger ending for the first film.
Villeneuve further explained that "The first movie was more meditative and contemplative." Now that the stage is set, however, it's time to ramp things up.
While the source material remains light on the action itself, it will be fun to see a competent adaptation of the book that provides a more seamless, action-packed experience.
