Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln, was the de facto main character for much of “The Walking Dead.” The last time fans saw Grimes, it was rather ugly, and his departure left the other characters wondering if he was still alive.

In a recent interview, Paola Lázaro, who plays the always-entertaining Juanita “Princess” Sanchez, was asked about her prediction for the show's end, and her reply seemed to tease Rick’s return. "It'd be awesome if Rick showed up right at the end. That's all I can say,” Lázaro said.

Rick’s return will be a delight to fans, but it is rather unlikely he will be returning in the series finale. Showrunner Angela Kang did say that the door is always open if Lincoln is up for coming back to the show, while producer Scott M. Gimple mentioned that Rick’s return would be in a trilogy of spin-off movies.
