Captain America's
Brother?

Episode 3 of “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” highlights the prevalence of social media in the MCU. During a media montage which covers a number of platforms, including cable news, we are shown a news host named Gideon Wilson who is the brother of Sam Wilson (a.k.a. Captain America) in the comics.
In the comics, Gideon Wilson is a reverend and father who turns into a super-villain after he erroneously blames the Hulk for his son’s death. Through experimentation, he becomes Mister Gideon of the Gamma Corp, a mutated squad of grudge-wielding assassins who firmly hold that it is their job to eliminate the Hulk.
While it’s not likely for the MCU to adapt this storyline, Gideon’s original hatred of the Hulk is given a cool nod through his portrayal as a cable news host with an unjustified aggression towards She-Hulk. In this version he’s more like J. Jonah Jameson, and he could appear in the upcoming “Captain America: New World Order” as a minor thorn in Sam Wilson’s side.
