Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool will officially be joining the MCU with the release of “Deadpool 3,” and news of Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine has fans more excited than ever. Reynolds announced Jackman’s return on Instagram, and Jackman recently posted a video of them on Twitter to answer a question that’s been plaguing fans since the news came out.
“X-Men” lovers know that Wolverine died in the 2017 film “Logan,” which many believe to be a fitting end for the character. Reynolds explained in the Twitter video that “Logan” is set in the year 2029, and since they’re “not touching that,” the events of “Deadpool 3” will presumably take place years before Wolverine dies in “Logan.”
The video continues as the sound of Wham’s "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" plays over the rest of the conversation between Reynolds and Jackman, and the two very animatedly act out some scenes that fans suspect explains how Wolverine and Deadpool will meet in “Deadpool 3.” To close, Reynolds and Jackman thank the president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige.
