Robert Downey Jr. has appeared in so many MCU films as Tony Stark/Iron Man that it’s hard to imagine the franchise without him. Not only does the actor have millions of fans around the world, but one of his biggest supporters is a fellow “Avengers” cast member.

Captain America actor Chris Evans said in an interview that there was nobody else that could have portrayed Iron Man better than his co-star. He believes that Downey Jr. played the part perfectly, saying that no other actor could “somehow improve upon what Downey’s done.”

Evans added that he doesn’t think the role of Iron Man will be like “James Bond or a Superman or Batman,” where future actors will take over the role. Even though Downey Jr.’s time as Iron Man has since come to an end, it’s clear that some of his biggest fans are within his close circle of co-stars.
