after Jesse Lee
Soffer's Exit
By CAITLIN ALBERS
Jesse Lee Soffer has been with “Chicago P.D.” since it premiered in 2014 as Detective Jay Halstead, and, as the series moves into its tenth season, it’ll be without Soffer. Tracy Spiridakos, who plays Soffer’s on-screen wife, Hailey Upton, had much to say about his exit.
"I guess the word is out...Jesse, what can I say, you're the absolute best," Spiridakos wrote on Instagram with a photo of her and Soffer. "Thank you for your kindness, your guidance and your friendship. You're the greatest onscreen husband a girl could ask for. I'll miss being on set with you every day. I can't wait to see what the world has in store for you next."
Soffer himself seems upset about leaving, writing on Twitter, "This is sad but true. Just want all the fans to know how grateful I am. You guys are why we do it! It has been an honor. Love you all." Also, Spiridakos' caption suggests Hailey isn't going anywhere on "Chicago P.D." as she mentions being on set without Soffer.
