Chicago Fire's Monica Raymund Is Directing A Major Disney+ Project

By NIKKI MUNOZ

Monica Raymund is best known for portraying series regular Gabby Dawson, the paramedic in charge of Ambulance 61, on “Chicago Fire.” However, she has recently taken on a directing job for a huge project — the new "National Treasure" series for Disney+, based on the film series of the same name.

Cormac and Marianne Wibberley, two of the franchise's screenwriters, have written the scripts for the new show, which will follow a similar storyline to the films but with a set of younger characters. Raymund confirmed her position as director in early April, when she posted about the experience and celebrated wrapping filming on Instagram.

As of now, it is unclear how many episodes of the upcoming project Raymund directed. Whatever the number, we can't wait to see the work that the "Chicago Fire" alum has done for the "National Treasure" series.
