“Chicago Fire’s” voice of reason, Lieutenant Matthew Casey moved to Oregon so he could care for Andrew Darden's sons but the company forged ahead throughout the remainder of Season 10 without him. However, it hasn’t stopped fans online from theorizing who could possibly fill his big shoes.
The cast came together for a special Chi-Hard fan event that involved them reading fan theories, including one where a commenter suggests Mouch could be the new lieutenant. However, the actor Christian Stolte was quick to shoot down that theory stating, "No, Mouch is not going to be the lieutenant of anything."
Miranda Rae Mayo, who plays Stella Kidd, had a much different reaction to getting fan support to become lieutenant. After reading a fan theory hoping that her character could get a promotion in the near future, her response was, "That's what's up. Me too."
