Bruce Willis' Highest-Grossing Movie Might Surprise You

By PATRICK PHILLIPS
As March wound down, Bruce Willis' family broke the news on Instagram that he would be stepping away from acting. In announcing the actor's retirement, the Willis family also confirmed that the actor was struggling with aphasia, a cognitive condition that affects the way you communicate.
While Willis starred in countless box office smashes over the years, from “The Fifth Element” and “Pulp Fiction” to the “Die Hard” series, it’s “The Sixth Sense” that was his highest-grossing film, netting $673 million at the worldwide box office. In a rare instance of art and commerce co-existing, "The Sixth Sense" is also one of the best-reviewed films in the actor's body of work.
Many will also argue that "The Sixth Sense" features the finest performance of Willis’ storied career, as his nuanced work as psychiatrist Malcolm Crowe anchors the film emotionally. As such, it's more than fitting that the movie ranks number one among the actor's highest-grossing films.
