Blue Bloods Has Two Reagans Fans Will Never See In A Single Episode
By MIKE BEDARD
Two key members of the Reagan family have never appeared in “Blue Bloods.” However, they’ve received mentions over the years, so you may wonder where these integral people are.
Before the events of the show take place, two members of the Reagan family had already passed away. The first family member is Betty Reagan, Henry’s (Len Cariou) wife.
Betty died of a terminal illness on December 2, 2001 before the show’s events began. Not much is known about Betty, but she did have a child before Frank (Tom Selleck) was born.
Betty and Henry first had Peter, who died of leukemia at 18 months. The Sunday family dinners are a part of Betty’s legacy to show how she overcame poverty as a child.
Another tragedy that befell the Reagans before the show’s events was the death of Mary Reagan, who was Frank’s wife. Mary died from cancer on September 14, 2005.
In addition to being a mother and grandmother, Mary worked as President of the Children’s Fund, a position that would later be taken over by her daughter Erin (Bridget Moynahan).
Even though Mary claimed to hate Valentine’s Day, she still held onto every card Frank got her. The legacies of Betty and Mary live on in the memories of the Reagan family.
