Shelled Out
Nearly $20k For
These Two
Classic Fords

Even after 23 seasons and 347 episodes into its run, "American Pickers" and its OG picker Mike Wolfe still continue to earn their keep in the History original programming landscape, plucking treasures from barns, backyards, and garages all across the land. There have been times when the pickers have shelled out some serious coin for their said “picks.”
One such time was when the "American Pickers" team decided to break the bank on a big car pick and scoop up a pair of vintage Fords a few years back. Mike Wolfe and his now-former co-star Frank Fritz went all-in for a pair of classic Fords from the earliest days of automobiles in a Season 13 episode.
The duo found a well-kept 1931 Model A Coupe and a 1911 Model T — which is a historical artifact even if it isn't road-ready — with the original motor apparently intact in the garage of a Virginia collector. After crunching some numbers in his head, Mike locked down both cars, initially offering $18,000 for the pair and finally closing the sale at $18,200.
