Keanu Reeves Believes John Wick Could Fully Weaponize This Dairy Product

Half the fun of watching any "John Wick" film is seeing all the gruesomely creative ways the hitman goes about exacting revenge on the sorry goons who killed his dog. Throughout the franchise, one message is made abundantly clear: when the titular assassin is around, anything can be a weapon. From bashing heads in with a heavy book, to dismembering foes with a sword, to taking out several opponents with nothing but a small pencil, there's no shortage of bizarre and brutal deaths that John Wick (Keanu Reeves) has orchestrated.

Pretty much every installment in the "John Wick" series has upped the ante over its predecessors in terms of finding new ways for its protagonist to enact his bloody vengeance. "John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum" went significantly more over-the-top than its prequels, and subsequent entries are sure to take things even further. As it turns out, even Reeves himself has an idea for a Wick weapon that surely wouldn't be for the faint of heart or the lactose intolerant.

Reeves thinks Wick could kill with butter

John Wick has used all sorts of everyday items for dark purposes, but if Keanu Reeves had it his way, the next weapon the hitman would wield would be food itself. In an interview with Rotten Tomatoes, the actor suggested that it would be interesting to see how Wick could kill someone with a plain ol' stick of butter. "How would you kill someone with something soft?" Reeves said in the interview. "Would you suffocate them? What would John Wick do? I guess he would take the plate, I don't know. It's ridiculous."

As a matter of fact, it wouldn't actually be all that far-fetched to imagine the assassin in a scenario where he must weaponize the food surrounding him. After all, "John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum" already features a scene involving a deadly piece of exotic food that could kill you if you tried it — namely, the fugu fish that Zero cuts during the sushi restaurant scene. In a video with Insider, professional sushi chef Endo Kazutoshi noted that the fish, which contains deadly toxins that must be removed before eating, is prepared improperly in the film. "That's very, very dangerous," the chef stated.

Of course, danger is what John Wick is all about. Whether it's a poisonous fish or a normal stick of butter, it's likely only a matter of time before viewers see the hitman take something fit for consumption and repurpose it for homicide.
