J.J. Abrams Premieres Star-Studded Trailer For Fake Superhero Movie
Jimmy Kimmel may have received the coolest birthday present of all time.
In honor of the late-night host's 50th birthday, J.J. Abrams directed a star-studded trailer for a fake superhero ensemble flick based on characters Kimmel created when he was a child. Titled The Terrific Ten, it features an impressive lineup of A-list talent including Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Zach Galifianakis, Billy Crudup, Jon Hamm, Jason Bateman, Ty Burrell, Will Burnett, and, yes, Shaquille O'Neal.
Of course, Matt Damon plays the villainous Dr. Bolt, adding to his longstanding feud with Kimmel. Damon pokes fun at the inherent crappiness of the characters, saying, "We all suck. And you know why? We were created by a weird, sad kid who grew to later become a weird, fat man."
He does have a point: Wanda Sykes plays a talking box of bleach. Still, a full version of this would have to be at least as entertaining as the Fantastic Four adaptions.
