Who Plays Faith Marconi On Blue Bloods?
After more than a decade on air, it's clear that the Reagan family is the beating heart of "Blue Bloods." With Tom Selleck at the helm as NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan, the series balances weekly criminal investigations with the personal and professional lives of Frank's adult children Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), Erin (Bridget Moynahan), and Jamie (Will Estes). Each episode is punctuated by the Reagans' weekly Sunday dinners.
While the Reagans are at the center of the drama, their challenges are enriched by the supporting characters who occupy the world of "Blue Bloods." Where would the series be without the other NYPD beat cops and detectives, or the rotating cast of district attorneys? One later-series addition to "Blue Bloods" is Faith Marconi, a medical examiner for the NYPD. She first appears in the Season 11 episode "More Than Meets the Eye" and crops up again a few episodes later in "The End." In Season 12, she reappears once again, continuing to share scenes with Danny out in the field. Here is the actor who plays Faith Marconi.
Annabella Sciorra has had a prolific film career and a memorable arc on The Sopranos
Annabella Sciorra has been a fixture of film and television since the late '80s. In 1989, the actor made her big screen debut in Nancy Savoca's "True Love," for which she earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination. Sciorra would work with a number of rising filmmakers throughout the '90s. She starred in Spike Lee's "Jungle Fever," as well as two films by Noah Baumbach and three films by Abel Ferrara (via IMDb)
From 2001 to 2004, Sciorra played one of the roles for which she is best known: Gloria Trillo on "The Sopranos." Though she only appeared in seven episodes, Sciorra provided the acclaimed series with one of its most searing performances as a troubled patient of Dr. Melfi's (Lorraine Bracco) and lover to Tony (James Gandolfini). The role earned her an Emmy nomination for outstanding guest actress in a drama series.
Since "The Sopranos," Sciorra has brought her talents to a number of TV shows, including "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" and "The L Word." She played crime boss Rosalie Carbone in the Marvel series "Luke Cage" and "Daredevil." "I think I have a little bit of that swagger myself," the actor said at the "Luke Cage" Season 2 premiere, "so I didn't have to go and hang out with some mobsters to figure it out."
Interestingly, Faith Marconi isn't Sciorra's first character on "Blue Bloods." She guest starred in a 2013 episode as Grace Meherin, an NYPD psychologist. Luckily for fans, her second stint on "Blue Bloods" has had more longevity.
