Full House Fans Make It Abundantly Clear Who Their Least Favorite Tanner Sister Is

As far as '90s sitcoms go, "Full House" may be one of the most beloved. But despite the feel-good nature of the show, which includes a touching life lesson in nearly every episode, viewers don't exactly love the Tanner household in its entirety.

Several fans named aspiring comedian Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier) their least favorite among the trio of leading men. They don't find Joey's comedy bits like "cut it out" or his slew of impressions ranging from Bullwinkle to Popeye amusing. Many found Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos) and Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) naturally funnier.

But what about Danny's daughters, D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and Michelle (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen), who all have had their share of not-so-adorable moments? Fans remember when D.J. bought a horse named Rocket behind her dad's back and brought it into the living room or when Stephanie chopped off Jesse's beloved mullet. Some die-hard "Full House" viewers still talk about Michelle throwing a pool party in the kitchen, resulting in "daddy's little princess" landing her very first punishment.

An argument can be made as to why each girl could be considered the least favorite. However, there's a consensus among many "Full House" fans who have made their negative feelings toward one sister crystal clear.

Full House fans think Michelle is the most annoying Tanner sister

On Reddit, when u/WallabyDry1908 asked other users to vote for the worst Tanner sister, Michelle received a whopping 243 votes out of the total 332. D.J. came in second with 50 votes, followed by Stephanie at 39. Several agreed that Michelle is cute in the early seasons but becomes increasingly annoying as she ages. Some of their least favorite Michelle moments include when she covers Stephanie's bed in leaves, brings home a donkey, and acts extremely spoiled during the family trip to Disney World.

One user said, "She was cute in the earlier seasons but starting season 5, she was just a selfish brat and became absolutely insufferable in seasons 7-8 ... There were other moments like when she got her sisters in trouble for things she did (starting a pillow fight which led to a broken window, jumping into a raked pile of leaves, having a pool party in the kitchen), and she pinched Steph."

U/enewwave disliked the uptick in Michelle's screen time, something this user felt took away from the focus of the original plotline. They said, "What I love about the early seasons of the show is that it's really about Danny, Jesse, and Joey with their adventures revolving around taking care of the girls."

U/HaleyTheComet8 disliked Michelle's inability to see beyond her wants and described her as "never good at sharing."

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen aren't like Michelle in real life

When "Full House" made its debut in 1987, the twins were nine months old. Though their years on the show catapulted their careers, they revealed to David Letterman that if they someday had children, they wouldn't put their kids through the same experience.

Given the lasting success of "Full House," not to mention the spoiled persona of their on-screen character, it would've been easy for Mary-Kate and Ashley to turn into snooty celebrities. Yet after their 2004 comedy "New York Minute," the fraternal twins shied away from the spotlight to take on the world of fashion.

The Olsen twins prefer to keep a low profile these days

Even after launching The Row fashion brand at 18, the Olsens wanted to stay in the background. In an interview with i-D, Ashley said, "We didn't want to be in front of it; we didn't necessarily even want to let people know it was us. It was really about the product, to the point where we were like, 'Who could we get to front this so that we don't have to?'"

As part of their un-Michelle-like desire to keep a low profile, the Olsens turned down the opportunity to reprise their role on the spinoff "Fuller House." The show's executive producer Bob Boyett shared in an interview with Cinemablend, "Ashley said, 'I have not been in front of a camera since I was 17, and I don't feel comfortable acting.' Mary-Kate said, 'It would have to be me because Ash doesn't want to do it. But the timing is so bad for us.'"
