Gotham Casts A New Poison Ivy

Poison Ivy is getting another new look on Gotham.

Deadline reports that Peyton List (Mad Men, Frequency) will play the latest version of the classic Batman villain. Clare Foley played the age-shifting character during the first two seasons of Gotham, then Maggie Geha took over in season 3. It's not clear when List will join the show; it could be later this season or in season 5.

"In the continuing evolution of Poison Ivy's origin story, Ivy Pepper has been transformed once again taking another step toward becoming the Ivy we know from the comics," said Gotham producers in a statement. "Dangerous. A live wire of crazy energy. She'll set her sights on Gotham, intent on making the city her own green paradise."

List (not to be confused with the other Peyton List from Disney's Jessie and Bunk'd) began her career as a model, then landed her first role as Lucy Montgomery on the CBS soap opera As the World Turns in 2001. She remained on the show four years, then moved on to shows including Smallville, 90210, and Frequency. She played Jane Siegel Sterling on Mad Men from 2008 to 2013 and Golden Glider on The Flash in 2015.

Gotham airs Thursdays on Fox.
