Impractical Jokers' Murr Reveals The Hardest Punishment On The Show For Him

"Impractical Jokers" has been a staple of truTV for many years. With hundreds of episodes to its name, the series has managed to capture the hearts and minds of millions with relatively the same premise across the board. While the pranks and stunts differ from one episode to the next, the basic format remains the same. The central jokers put one another through embarrassing scenarios, often making themselves the butt of the joke while laughing and having a great time at one another's expense. Each game has winners and losers, and whoever loses the most must undergo one final punishment.

These punishments have ranged from getting locked in a cage with bears on the outside to jumping on tables to see which ones were made of cardboard. The guys have no qualms with putting themselves through the wringer for the entertainment of the masses. They've all faced the music at one point or another, but one punishment was particularly scarring for James "Murr" Murray.

Murr recalls interviewing Danica McKellar in a speedo

During an interview with the "Impractical Jokers" cast, Murray's asked what the worst punishment he's ever had to go through was. He doesn't even hesitate, and he responds that it was the time his friends tricked him into thinking he was entering a bodybuilding contest only for them to swap it out with a surprise interview with "The Wonder Years" star Danica McKellar, who just so happens to be Murray's childhood crush.

As the joker explained, "I was already mortified being in that little, skimpy outfit and thinking I was going into a bodybuilding competition because my body doesn't build." It's at this point Joe Gatto jumped in and gave a behind-the-scenes tidbit as to why the prank was even funnier than fans may have realized: "The best part of that punishment is that Murray's about to walk into that room, and you know before, from a producing standpoint, we like always give each other tips. And I'm like, 'All right, Murr. When you go in there, bud, you're gonna walk out right onto the stage, so bust through that door."

It makes rewatching the punishment even better to see Murray's demeanor completely change once he realizes what's going on. The only thing that may be better than the look on Murray's face is the one on Danica McKellar, who seems wholly nonplussed with the whole endeavor.
