Players on the other two paths must recruit her during Chapter 6 to get her into their party. It's also worth noting players must have a high bow skill and strength stat for the recruitment attempt to succeed.
For the Azure Gleam path, players will come across Bernadetta during the Chapter 6 mission: Conspiracy in the Air. After seizing every central stronghold in the area, players will be tasked with defeating Bernadetta. However, players can instead initiate the Persuade Strategy on Bernadetta to get her to join their party. This ability will cost 10 Strategy Points, so players should prepare accordingly.
For the Golden Wildfire path, players will encounter Bernadetta during the Chapter 6 mission: Leader's Stratagem. After chasing out the Imperial Army and preventing Ferdinand's retreat, the player's next mission will be to defeat the sniper Bernadetta. Like on the Azure Gleam path, players must not kill Bernadetta but instead recruit her to their party at the cost of 10 Strategy Points. If successful, Bernadetta will abandon the Black Eagles and become a member of the player's party.
