The Leftovers' Kevin Carroll Joins Lucifer Season 3

A criminal mastermind is headed to LuciferEntertainment Weekly reports that The Leftovers' Kevin Carroll has joined the series as The Sinnerman, an evil genius who has set his sights on Lucifer (Tom Ellis).

The Sinnerman is described as being "mysterious and twisted" with "deep-seated motivations." Just like Lucifer, his reputation is based on the favors he has done for other people. The big question with his introduction to the show is why he decides to target Lucifer– and how he may be connected to his recently returned wings.

"The Sinnerman is going to be one of the big focal points for Lucifer's investigations into who did these things to him," executive producer Joe Henderson said. "So that's a nice, cool, juicy character that we're going to introduce a little bit into the season." The Sinnerman is set to appear in at least two episodes in December, including the winter finale.

Carroll recently wrapped a role on the critically acclaimed HBO series The Leftovers, but he has also made guest appearances on a number of other big name series, including The Catch, The Last Tycoon, Survivor's Remorse, Grey's Anatomy, and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. On the big screen, he has appeared in Being John Malkovich, Jane Street, and Margaret. He is next set to appear in 2018's Blindspotting.

Lauren German, Tom Welling, D.B. Woodside, Rachael Harris, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Aimee Garcia, and Scarlett Estevez also star in Lucifer, which airs on Monday nights at 8 p.m. on Fox.
