Jessica Chastain Is Pot-Committed In High-Stakes New Molly's Game Trailer
Oh, the poker metaphors you can throw out to describe the story behind Molly's Game. She had a hot hand in a no-limit game, and was always raising the stakes for big gains before she caught a bad beat on the flop. Now Aaron Sorkin has bought in and anted up to tell her true-life story in his directorial debut.
Molly's Game is based on the memoir of the same title by Molly Bloom, an Olympic-class skier who once ran a lucrative, clandestine poker game for a murderer's row of Hollywood celebrities and the wealthy elite before federal investigators arrested on charges of running an illegal gambling enterprise.
Starring Jessica Chastain, Idris Elba, Kevin Costner, and Michael Cera, Molly's Game is the first directorial effort for Sorkin, who is widely-known as the writer of shows like The West Wing and films such as The Social Network, Moneyball, and A Few Good Men.
Molly's Game arrives in theaters on November 22.
